A Short History - I Love Leroy
In 2002 Sarah Jane Webber completed her Diploma in Fashion Design and Pattern Making from the Design Academy of Fashion. After completing her studies she Created 'I Love Leroy' ladies wear brand consisting of dresses, coats, jackets, tops, skirts and trousers, supplying several boutiques in Cape Town and in Johannesburg.
She was selected as a semi-finalist in the Nederburg Young Designer awards.
of Sanlam SA Fashion Week Spring Summer 2006. She collaborated with Levi Strauss within their Young Guns collection at Cape Town Fashion Week ‘06.
Sarah was nominated as one of Marie Claire’s top ten emerging South African designers. She launched winter and spring/summer collections at Sanlam SA Fashion Week ‘07 as well as Sanlam SA Fashion Week regional collections.
I Love Leroy Showcased collections at the Design Indaba 2008 and participated in the Cape Town Fashion Festival. I Love Leroy was later nominated by the media of South Africa as one of the top three emerging fashion designers of 2008. I Love Leroy showcased its Spring Summer Collection as well as its Regional collection at Sanlam SA Fashion Week.
I Love Leroy recently showcased collections at the Design Indaba ‘09. I Love Leroy is currently being sold nationwide in independent boutiques and has branched out into formal and bridal wear. Publications featured; Elle, Glamour, Pursuit Magazine, Fair Lady, Femina, Seventeen, Cleo, Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan. |
